New York assisted living

Assisted Living in Rockland County, NY

The official New York file we use lists no assisted living address in Rockland County right now, so we do not fill the page with names from somewhere else.

We sit with you first, then you pick the home. We shortlist licensed communities from the official state lists. We are a family resource, not a hospital and not a brokerage.

What assisted living means in Rockland County

Assisted living is a licensed setting with help for bathing, dressing, meals, and medication reminders. In New York the state licenses or certifies each address, and that license is the only thing we treat as a fact.

Every New York name we show comes from the New York State Department of Health Adult Care Facility Directory, so you can check the certificate yourself.

What this page does not do

We do not publish monthly prices for a community, star ratings, occupancy, waiting lists, or photographs of a specific building. Cost questions go to the community, because a base rate plus care level is the only honest answer.

We are a family resource, not a brokerage and not a caregiver marketplace. We do not rank communities and we do not claim a best of list.

How to use the county list

Open the Rockland County list, switch to the assisted living tab, and pick up to three names. The compare page prefills the official name, address, type, license, and phone so you can add the numbers each community gives you.

Rockland County: what the official New York list shows

The New York license file lists 18 senior care settings in Rockland County: 6 memory or dementia care settings and 12 personal care homes. They are spread across 11 towns.

The towns with the most licensed listings are Spring Valley (4), New City (3), Chestnut Ridge (2), Haverstraw (2), Garnerville (1), Monsey (1).

For assisted living, the useful first cut is location. Most families want a parent within a 20 minute drive of whoever visits most, so start with the towns below and widen from there.
