Private-pay home care in New York
Sit with us first. Then pick the home. Sometimes the answer is staying home a while longer.
You don't pay. There's no fee.
Staying home, for now
A few hours of help with bathing, meals, medication reminders, and company can hold the line while your family decides what comes next.
We sit with you, match the hours to a licensed agency, make the introduction, and you decide.
How we help
- Sit with the family. Care type, county or borough, budget band in your own words, and urgency. No invented numbers from us.
- Shortlist licensed private-pay options that fit what you told us.
- You get the written shortlist. You visit when ready, and we can come along if you ask.
- Follow through after your visits. Move in is between your family and the community.
Home care by borough and county
Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester County, Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk), Rockland County. Observant families: see kosher home care.
Immediate need or planning ahead
Immediate need means a hospital or rehab discharge this week, wandering, night safety worries, or a caregiver at the end of the rope. Call (201) 686-8232.
Planning ahead means the next 30 to 90 days. Use the form and mark Planning ahead, and we work at a calmer pace.
Areas we cover
Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island, plus White Plains, Scarsdale, and Yonkers. Families who span both states can cover New Jersey in the same conversation.
What we do not do
We do not employ aides and we do not bill Medicare. We do not publish hourly rates, because agencies set their own and they change.
We introduce you to licensed private-pay agencies, and the agency you choose signs with you directly.
Home care or a community
When help is needed around the clock, a community can cost less than paying by the hour. We compare both honestly with you.
Communities and agencies
If you run admissions, business development, or a licensed home care office, we would like to know your setup. Call (201) 686-8232 or use the partner page. We do not publish your rates and we do not promise census.
