CareScout 2025 Cost of Care Survey: what New Jersey families should read

The 2025 survey reports statewide median monthly costs. New Jersey figures: in-home non-medical caregiver $7,245, adult day services $2,167, assisted living $8,710, nursing home semi-private $12,775, nursing home private $14,448. The national assisted living median in the same survey is $6,200.

Data collected July through November 2025. Released March 2, 2026. Memory care is usually higher than assisted living. Ask the community. CareScout does not publish a memory-care median.

How to check a New Jersey facility license and inspection record

The New Jersey Department of Health publishes a facility search where families can look up licensed assisted living residences, comprehensive personal care homes, and nursing homes. Use it before any visit, and ask the community to explain anything you see in the record.
