Why we do not publish a median

There is no official statewide New Jersey memory care median that we will publish, and we will not reuse assisted living survey numbers as if they were memory care. Those are different services with different staffing.

Anyone showing you a precise statewide memory care number should tell you exactly where it came from.

How to ask each community

  • Is the price all inclusive or rent plus care levels.
  • What triggers a move to a higher care level, and how much is each step.
  • Are incontinence supplies, medication administration, and transportation included.
  • What is the community fee at move in.
  • How often have rates increased in the last three years.

On a call we go community by community, write down what each one says, and put it side by side so your family can compare like for like.
