Senior Living in New York

New York has 554 licensed listings in the official file we use, split across assisted living (61), memory care (162), and personal care homes (331).

We sit with you first, then you pick the home. We shortlist licensed communities from the official state lists. We are a family resource, not a hospital and not a brokerage.

The levels of care, in order

Home support keeps someone in their own home. A personal care home is a smaller licensed setting. Assisted living adds daily hands-on help. Memory care is a secured setting for dementia. We only list the private-pay licensed types on this site.

Most families start one level lower than they expect to end. Choosing by license type first makes the tour conversation much shorter.

What we will not tell you

We do not rank communities, publish a best of list, show live availability, or quote a monthly price for a specific address. That keeps the official parts of this site trustworthy.

Every New York name we show comes from the New York State Department of Health Adult Care Facility Directory, so you can check the certificate yourself.
